Sagrada Familia enters final phase of construction

In December of this year, I will be visiting one of the world capitals of architecture – the City of Barcelona. I will be exploring Modernista architecture, including the works of one its most famous architects – Antoni Gaudi. Almost everyone knows Gaudi’s most famous building is the Sagrada Familia so, of course, I will be spending at least a day there. It’s a rare opportunity to see one of the great churches of Europe under construction. Started in 1882, the plan is to complete the towers by 2026, at which point it will be the tallest church in Europe. Thanks to the video below, I won’t have to wait that long to see how it will look. (Well, at least not in virtual reality.) I hope I will get back to see it completed in person but until then, this video is pretty amazing. Enjoy.
